Find The Solution To Your Low Back Problems Part 4: Change Your Health

The last step in getting your lower back bullet-proof is to step up your health.  By making positive shifts in your health you will begin to speed healing, boost your immune system, improve recovery, and lower inflammation and pain.  Let’s talk about the 5 most critical things you can start doing TODAY to support the changes you’ve made in your habits and movement:

  1. Drink more water. Believe it or not, this one simple step has changed everything for many people that I work with!  Silly as it sounds, the simplest thing you can do is to start your day off with one 8 oz glass of water. This alone will change your life. To make an even bigger difference is to choose water instead of your typical morning juice, lunch-time soda, afternoon coffee, or dinner time glass of wine. One week is all it takes to notice a difference in how you feel.
  2. Take smart supplements. Here is a list of daily supplements that I take to ensure my inflammation stays low and my health and healing is boosted:

  2. Make time to empty your stress bucket. Everyone has a different size bucket representing the amount of stress that they can handle.  Once the bucket starts to overflow, then all hell starts to break loose.  You start to get symptoms of fatigue, anxiety, sleeplessness, immune suppression, anger, physical pain, and general overwhelm.  If you’re not taking time daily to empty your bucket then you’re on a crash-course for one of these dysfunctions.  Things like exercise, meditation, social interaction, yoga, journaling, vacation, or any self-renewal activity is the equivalent of sharpening your sword that prepares you for every-day battle.  Do not discount the importance of this step!
